Healing Gut Smoothies- Serves one

A delicious blend of gut healing prebiotics, nutritious-dense fruits and vegetables to create a tonic for the digestive system.  For added sweetness try adding a banana, or pear at the end tons it taste preference.

Ingredients:

1 glass organic almond milk

1 glass of organic coconut water

1 Tsp slippery elm powder

1 Tsp organic Maca powder

1 Tsp Chia seeds

1 Tsp Flaxseeds

3-4 Stalks of celery

½ organic avocado

Handful spinach/Cos lettuce or kale

1 organic pear, peeled and diced.

2cm cube of ginger or 1/2 tsp of powdered ginger

Handful Ice

*Optional: For sweetness a small piece of frozen fruit such as banana, pear or apple

Method:

Blend all ingredients together to form a smooth consistency. Enjoy!

 

SUPER CHOC BANANA BERRY SMOOTHIE – serves 1

This sweet, chocolatey, berry goodness will make you feel as though your having a cheat day, however your body will thank you for the high intake of nutrients, and antioxidant-rich superfoods. This will aid your body to fight free-radical, remove toxins, detox, and rebuild. 

Ingredients:

1 Frozen Banana

Handful Mixed Berries

2-4 Pitted Medjool Dates

1-2 tsp Cacao Powder

1 tsp Chia seeds

1 tsp Maca Powder

1 tsp Beetroot powder

1 Tsp of Goji Berries

½ Avocado

2C milk of choice (Soy, Almond, Coconut)

Handful Ice

 

Method:

Blend all ingredients together to form a smooth consistency. Enjoy!

 

 Peanut Butter Madness Smoothie- serves one

Who doesn’t love the taste of smooth, crazy peanut butter? It can be used in moderation as a healthy food, especially when combined with nutritious and super-food ingredients such as spiriluna, maca and chia. A tasty way to get these anti-oxidant, nutrient-dense superfoods into your body. 

Ingredients:

1 Frozen Banana

2-4 Pitted Medjool dates

1 Tsp Organic Peanut Butter

Handful Greens (Kale, Spinach, Beetroot Leaves)

1 tsp Chia seeds

1 tsp Maca Powder

1 tsp Spirulina Powder

1 tsp LSA Powder

2 C milk of choice (Soy, Almond, Coconut)

Handful Ice

 

Method:

Blend all ingredients together to form a smooth consistency. Enjoy!

 

Juices

Power Potion – Serves One

With a blend beetroot, carrot, apple, orange, cos lettuce with detoxifying  ginger, parsley, this juice is perfect to give you the power to start your day.

Ingredients:

2 medium beets, including some stems

2 medium carrots

2 teaspoons fresh ginger juice from an about 1-inch piece ginger

2 oranges, peeled

1 large apple, cored and quartered

Handful fresh parsley

Handful cos lettuce

 

Method:

  1. Stir juices together thoroughly, divide between two glasses, and serve immediately.

 

Green Machine

INGREDIENTS

1 medium cucumber

1/2 Avocado

Handful of baby Spinach

Small Handful parsley

1 large apple, cored and quartered

1 1/2-inch piece ginger

lime juice from 1 to 2 limes, peeled

3 medium celery stalks

 

Method:

  1. Stir juices together thoroughly, divide between two glasses, and serve immediately.
